TERMS AND CONDITIONS

Please make sure you have read our Terms and Conditions before booking.

Cancellations and Refunds:

We realise that sometimes plans change and as such we will always do our best to re-let a holiday if you have to cancel it. If we are able to do so we will refund the cost if the holiday If you cancel within 7 days of the holiday and we are unable to re-let we will refund you the cost of the holiday less 20% of the total.

In the unlikely event of the Hut not being available due to fire, flood or other unforeseen circumstances, Park Farm Glamping cannot accept liability or responsibility for consequential loss, but the holiday will be refunded. Should guests’ behaviour be unacceptable to ourselves or others, we reserve the right to ask the offending guest to leave immediately and without refund.

There will be no refunds or reductions for inclement weather, late arrivals or early departures.

Check-in / Check-out

Check-in is not before 3pm on date of arrival.

Check-out is no later than 10am on day of departure.

General Safety:

The field the Hut is in belongs to us but the surrounding land belongs to the farmer.

Therefore, we ask you not to enter any other field, or the farmyard where the large barns are, as this would be trespassing. There is a footpath up the hill past the house and farm which is a public right of way, as is the track leading downhill. We ask guests to stick to the track and footpath, and we are more than happy to point you in the right direction if need be. We also ask you to respect the country code and remember to close any gates that you open. We cannot accept any liability for accidents that happen while on site.

The farm is a working farm with machinery and livestock in the barns and fields. This is an additional reason to stay out of the farmyard and the other fields as there is a risk of injury.

We also ask guests to stay out of the outbuildings that are part of our smallholding. Some are quite fragile and there is a risk of injury.

The Hut has a smoke alarm, carbon monoxide detector, fire extinguisher and a fire blanket. Please take the time to locate these when you arrive. There is a bucket of sand underneath the Hut for emergency use. We hope it will never be needed but better safe than sorry.

Cars and Day Visitors:

There is only space for one car next to The Hut as we are keen not to damage the ground in the field. However, if you want to bring more cars or have day visitors please speak to us beforehand and we can see if there will be space.

 Music:

We do not allow any amplified music (this includes radios, ipods or phones with speakers etc) anywhere on the site. Noise travels far across the valley and we are keen not to intrude on the peace of the setting and to keep all our neighbours happy. There is a noise curfew of 10.00pm every night.

Fires:

Under no circumstances should fires be lit anywhere except for the fire pit by The Hut, this includes disposable barbecues. Please take extra care around the fire pit when using the grill. We do not allow candles inside The Hut.

The Hut has a smoke alarm, carbon monoxide detector, fire extinguisher and a fire blanket. Please take the time to locate these when you arrive. There is a bucket of sand underneath the Hut for emergency use. We hope it will never be needed but better safe than sorry.

Firewood:

A bag of logs and kindling for the firepit is an additional £5 to be paid on arrival. You are welcome to use dead wood that is on the ground, although we cannot guarantee that any will be there. Please do not break branches off living trees.

Dogs:

No dogs (except service dogs) are permitted due to the animals on the smallholding and neighbouring farm.

Cleaning:

We want you to enjoy your stay from the moment you arrive. A large part of this is to provide you clean and tidy accommodation. We strive to high standards and ask that you help us with this by leaving the Hut as clean and tidy as possible.

We are not expecting a full clean, but we do ask that all washing up is done, all rubbish placed in the correct bins and the bathroom is left tidy.

We will empty the loo and sort out the fire pit.

Please do not leave any litter outside of the hut, it will easily blow away and become a hazard to wildlife.

Park Farm Glamping reserve the right to charge you for any excessive cleaning that needs to be completed after your departure.

Breakages/Damages:

This is always a tricky one - accidental damage happens and we ask you to let us know if an item has been broken as we will need to replace it for other guests. So far we have never charged for breakages but we reserve the right to do so.

Smoking:

Smoking is not allowed in The Hut or in any of the surrounding grounds due to the high risk of fire. Vaping is allowed outside of The Hut only.

The Track:

The track from the B4364 up to the site is an unmade, single track lane. There are pot holes, loose stones, lumps and bumps. Please drive accordingly - nice and slow! Also please be aware that there are houses at the bottom of the track and you may be required to reverse to let cars pass or visa versa. There is the possibility of meeting farm traffic. There are passing places to use but please do not drive onto the field. It is usually a very quiet lane but we have to prepare you for the possibility of coming face to face with a huge tractor!

Park Farm (our home):

We live in the farmhouse with our two young children and dog. We ask guests to respect the privacy of the garden but we would be very happy to show you round our smallholding and introduce you to the animals. We are often outside doing various jobs on the smallholding or feeding the animals. The sheep share the field with you but are separated by electric fencing - please do not touch this, it will be on and will give you a shock! The pigs are in the pen in front of the house and are friendly but like to nibble so mind fingers and toes. There is electric fencing in the pig pen too which will also be on at all times. The chickens are very free ranging so goodness knows where they will be. For more information on our smallholding please see our About Us page.

We hope this provides you with sufficient information but if you have any queries, please do not hesitate to contact us.

We are constantly seeking to improve so we welcome any suggestions.
